To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Germany’s professional music magazine MusikWoche Jotopia | Visual Noise created this ad for SONY/ATV Music Publishing Germany.
Created this advertorial for SONY/ATV Music Publishing Germany who congratulates their nominees for the German Musikautorenpreis 2018. The nominees include Prinz Pi, Kool Savas and Kreator. The ad which is featured in Germany’s professional music magazine MusikWoche plays with concave and convex shapes and typography.
For SONY/ATV Music Publishing Germany JOTOPIA | Johannes Bayer created this double CD tray featuring music by nobel laureate Bob Dylan as a gift for special partners and friends of the company. As the first CD contains originals by Bob Dylan the second one encompasses cover-versions by artists such as Beck, Sufjan Stevens, Queens Ot The Stone Age, Jeff Buckley and Rage Against The Machine.
The artwork is taken from the original music video Subterranean Homesick Blues from 1965 and features quotes by Bob Dylan depicting the original type of the plates shown in the clip.

Sony/ATV Music Publishing is the leading music publisher with a catalogue of more than 3 million copyrights, ranging from songs by iconic names including The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson, Carole King, Queen and The Rolling Stones to contemporary superstars such as Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran.
Jotopia | Visual Noise was commissioned to develop the artwork for Sony/ATV’s latest christmas giveaway double vinyl LP for customers named “Laut Leise” featuring a collection of rather gentle songs (white LP) contrasting a tracklist of louder songs (red LP). The artwork which shows Kate Bush, John Lennon, Michael Jackson and Mick Jagger drawn with only one line makes use of UV-varnishings and cuttings.
Jotopia | Visual Noise developed the artwork for the latest program flyer of Mannheim’s local radio-station Bermuda Funk. The artworks are designed by different artists each time.
Jotopia | Visual Noise was invited to provide some „Stickerbomb X Jotopia“ logo interpretations for Stickerbombworld. Also read a small Q&A with Jotopia at Stickerbombworld.
Paying tribute to the 80’s Jotopia | Visual Noise created this logo for SUPERFLIGHT from Berlin! For more information about his debut album (5 tracks inspired by the soundtracks of 80’s movies, arcade games, italo disco and breakdance music.) on Sunlover Records go this way.
Logo design for the production company Team A Media. After more than one hundred handwritten versions and variations the original handwritten lettering was vectorized point per point.
Salz und Silber is the first online gallery specialized on documentary photography. A place to purchase pictures from famous photographers – for art lovers and collectors. Amongst them, for example, the documentary photographer Daniel Biskup as well as photo artist Maziar Moradi. Every single photography offered by Salz und Silber is merely available in a strictly limited edition. The original signature of the artist confirms the authenticity of each photography.
Jotopia | Visual Noise developed the logo, the corporate design and the screen design for the Salz und Silber online store. In line with the subject of documentary photography, the online gallery has just launched the blog Fotografie der Zeit, where you can find exciting news from the scene, the photographers and most useful infos on buying art online. Mareefield just released their latest album called “The Flood“. Jotopia | Visual Noise developed the cover artwork and designed a special modular font which allows to build giant digipack puzzles if you own a few more copies of the album than just simply one … The font is inspired by traditional Peruvian weavers we met on our journey to South of America and is featured in Typodarium 2014 – The daily dose of typography released by Verlag Hermann Schmidt Mainz. Created this illustration on the theme of “evolution” to participate in the anniversary edition of the SemiPermanent books from Australia featuring artists, illustrators, graphic-designers and creatives from around the globe. The design is inspired by Charles Darwin’s theories about evolution and Darwin’s finches we got to know on our travels to the Galapagos Islands last year.

… to build a tricky pop-up relaunch of the Jobot by Jotopia | Visual Noise, which travels around the world since 2004. The pop-up had been exhibited at this year’s Creative Paper Conference in Munich and is available with the current edition of Germany’s graphic design magazine NOVUM (12|12).

At the Creative Paper Conference, the producer will present for the first time eight different robot models designed by famous German designers especially for the premium paperboard Invercote. Verlag Hermann Schmidt Mainz releases Typodarium 2012 featuring the font Racetrack by Jotopia | Visual Noise. This font is inspired by childhood memories and carrera slot car battles together with dad on christmas eves back in the days. There is a 2D cut as well as a 3D version which allows to build custom racetracks.
Zeixs releases three new design books called Websites 3, Graphic Design 3 and Letterheads & Business Cards 2 featuring about 26 pages full of designs and creations by Jotopia | Visual Noise.

Frohes Noise and a happy new year which starts with the destruction of Jotopia. The T-Shirt-design which will be available in spring was inspired by an old 60’s movie poster (“Gorgo”). It shows a godzilla-like creature having fun while playing around with the tiny buildings of a large city. Will keep you updated…

Jotopia-Posters have been exhibited in the category “Unpublished posters” at the Third International Biennial of the Poster in Bolivia. The exhibiton in a recently refurbished monastery in the heart of the city of La Paz was opened with the presence of the German embassy and showed posters by 15 selected German designers/ studios.
